Carbon Fibers Materials
EddyCus CF map (MPECS) - Device for Structure Analysis of Carbon Fibers
The EddyCus CF map (former MPECS) is designed to create high resolution conductivity mappings and impedance analysis for quality control of various materials and structures. An optimized system for testing of carbon fiber materials is provided with specially designed sensors, software modules and test recipes. The system, developed by Fraunhofer IZFP Dresden measures with 4 frequencies per run, where each frequency obtains different information from different layers. The system is suitable for the detection of impacts, fiber orientation, assessment of fiber bundle distribution, gaps and spacing, misalignment, undulations and waves. The system is delivered with measurement recipes adapted to the test material and testing task.
EddyCus TF (Thin-film) - Quality Assurance of Wafers and Thin Films
The EddyCus TF inline series comprises standardized and customized hardware for integrated quality assurance in automated production lines. The applied eddy current techniques are clean, contactless and extremely quick and accurate. Offers for inline applications involve thickness and sheet resistivity measurement. One Eddy Current electronic is able to handle up-to 16 sensor pairs, which facilitates the comprehensive monitoring of deposition processes over the entire production width. The system is connected to a measurement PC or MES via Ethernet connection. The available hardware platform provides a high degree of variability that enables the setup of a fully application customized system.

EddyCus MA map (MPECS) - Crack, Flaw and Surface Conductivity Mapping System
The system allows a fast, user-friendly mapping of the surface conductivity and surface defects of flat and curved samples. There are various sensors with different sensitivities and spatial resolutions customizes for different material systems available that are delivered with ready to use measurment receipies. SURAGUS also offers customized systems for specific testing tasks. The systems come with adapted parameter sets for definition of the scan area for each test material and parametrizing the eddy current sensors. The use of the system is very easy, the user places the sample, loads the measurement recipe, starts the measurement and obtains the eddy current high resolution images. Defect gets classified and results can be automaticly analysed and exported or transfed by a automated pdf report option.
EddyCus MA dep - Depth Profiler
The EddyCus MA dep (depth profiler) is worldwide the only eddy current measurement device that utilizes frequencies up to 100 MHz for float sample characterization. High frequencies reduce the penetration depth of the eddy currents which is especially valuable for determination of near surface material characteristics and thin-films. Additionally, the accuracy of thickness characterizations increases with increasing measurement frequency. This is especially valuable for characterization of very low conductive layers. Furthermore, the device supports the generation of depth profiles of many parameters that relate to conductivity and excels with extreme high sensitivity.
