Storm Water Abatement Filter Systems, Inc., d/b/a AquaLogic, was founded by John R. Roy, David L. Earl, William L. Hamrick and Philip G. King as an alternative method of treating storm water runoff. AquaLogic and sand filter basins are the preferred methods of storm water runoff treatment over drain inlet and hyrodynamic devices because of their capacity to treat high velocity and high volume “first flush” storm events. They also have the ability to store large volumes of suspended solids, metals and other pollutants that are filtered out of the “first flush”.
