Terra Systems SRS - Small Droplet Emulsified Vegetable Oil Substrate

Terra Systems patented "injection ready" 60% SRS®-SD Small Droplet Emulsified Vegetable Oil Substrate is  added to the groundwater to rapidly generate reducing conditions and provide the necessary carbon and hydrogen to support native or introduced microorganisms (Dehalococcoides) for the biodegradation of chlorinated solvents such as tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE) to innocuous end products including ethene and ethane.

MTS - Metals Treatment Substrate

MTS™ - Metals Treatment Substrate is a slow release product that has been designed to remove a range of dissolved metals from groundwater via in situ immobilization and also provide a substrate for biodegradation of chlorinated compounds.  It contains sulfate and sulfide.  This complex is immobile in the subsurface because it sorbs strongly to the soil.  MTS™ can also be used as a direct reductant for metals such as  uranium and chromium that precipitate as hydroxides and oxides.

Terra Systems TSI DC - Bioaugmentation Culture

Terra Systems TSI DC Family of  Bioaugmentation Cultures for In-Situ Bioremediation. Dehalococcoides mccartyi is primarily responsible for the complete dechlorination of PCE and TCE to ethene under anaerobic conditions.  At sites where Dehalococcoides microorganisms are not present or are found at low numbers, the process will often “stall” at cis-1,2-dichloroethene. Terra Systems TSI-DC Bioaugmentation Culture, which contains greater than 1 x 1011 Dehalococcoides/L is injected into the aquifer and will promote the complete dechlorination of PCE or TCE.

Terra Systems SRS - Combined Emulsified Vegetable Oil Substrate

Terra Systems "injection ready" SRS®-ZVI combines Terra Systems patented SRS® Emulsified Vegetable Oil Substrate with 4 µm zero valent iron (ZVI) and is added to the groundwater at complex and challenging remediation sites to rapidly generate reducing conditions. SRS®-ZVI provides the necessary carbon and hydrogen to support native or introduced microorganisms (Dehalococcoides) for the biodegradation of dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs) like tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE) and to support abiotic degradation by the ZVI.

Terra Systems - Calcium Peroxide for Aerobic Bioremediation

Enhanced Aerobic Bioremediation of sites contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons (BTEX, PAHs, TPH), fuel oxygenates and related compounds (MTBE, TBA) require the addition of oxygen for the  aerobic microorganisms in the aquifer to thrive. As a general rule, three pounds of oxygen are required to degrade one pound of petroleum hydrocarbon. Terra Systems Calcium Peroxide (CPO)  is an oxygen-generating compound, which is added to the groundwater for enhanced aerobic bioremediation at sites typically contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons (BTEX, PAHs, TPH), fuel oxygenates and related compounds (MTBE, TBA). CPO provides the necessary source of oxygen for the  aerobic microorganisms in the aquifer.
