Foam filled oil spill containment boom is our most commonly used spill response containment boom.  Also known as contractor boom or hard boom, Texas Boom keeps these non-absorbent oil containment booms in stock and ready for immediate shipment.  This type oil containment boom features semi-flexible internal foam floats and flexible fabric draft skirts that are suspended below the surface.  Water conditions dictate the size of the oil containment boom best suited for particular operating conditions. 50 ft and 100 ft sections are in stock, and custom orders are available upon request.

Texas Boom offers a unique oil containment boom designed specifically for use in waterways where strong currents or tides are prevalent. The skirt on the River Boom is vented, allowing for some of the current to pass through the skirt to reduce the pressure on the boom. In addition, an additional ballast chain is added to strengthen the boom and provide additional ballast to keep the skirt positioned vertically. Shore Barrier Containment Boom is the ideal containment boom system for use in shallows, mud flats, tidal waters, marshes, and estuaries; which are under constant threat of spills. Our Shore Barrier Containment Boom utilizes a unique design which is comprised of an air filled flotation chamber and two water filled ballast chambers for effective containment of pollutants on shorelines. This design addresses tidal fluctuations in the area where the containment boom is deployed.
