WTR’s Headworks Fine Screens are one of the most cost effective means for fine screening of domestic waste water. Fine Screens are used where continuous screening is essential for protection of downstream equipment and processes. Applications include conventional waste water treatment plants [WWTP’s], advanced membrane water reclamation facilities [WRF’s] and combined stormwater overflows [CSO’s].

WTR’s Cup and Drum Screens are one of the most cost effective means for fine screening of raw water. Cup and Drum Screens are used in all types of applications where continuous screening is required and protection of downstream equipment is essential. Applications include power plant raw water intakes (fossil & nuclear), industrial raw water, potable drinking water, irrigation and numerous other types of plants.

WTR’s Stop Gates and Lifting Beams are an essential component to support dewatering of intake structures for maintenance, inspection or isolation. Stop Gates, (AKA Stop Logs), are used in all types of applications where maintenance under dry conditions is required, inspection of the structure is necessary or a flow stream needs to be isolated. Applications include power plant raw water intakes (fossil and nuclear), industrial raw water, potable drinking water, irrigation and numerous other types of plants.

WTR’s Talon Rake (monorail based automatic raking machine) and Bar Screens are one of the most economical means of protecting downstream equipment such as Traveling Screens, Drum Screens or Pumps. Talon Rakes can be used in all types of applications where debris accumulation on the Bar Screens is common and protection of downstream equipment is essential. Applications include power plant raw water (fossil, nuclear, hydro), industrial raw water, storm water, flood control pumping stations, domestic sewage treatment, potable water intake, irrigation and numerous other plant types.

Traveling Water Screens are used in all types of applications where continuous screening is required and protection of downstream equipment is essential. Applications include power plant raw water intakes (fossil and nuclear), industrial raw water, potable drinking water, irrigation and numerous other plant types.

The US EPA Clean Water Act, Section 316(b) allows for numerous different compliance methods to meet Best Technology Available (BTA) requirements for impingement mortality standards. One of the more cost effective means of compliance is based on option 5, allowing the owner to “operate a modified traveling screen that the EPA or other permitting authority determines is the best technology available for impingement reduction.”
