Air flow and gas flow meter calibration services for the automotive, aviation, medical, environmental, pharmaceutical and process instrumentation industries. The temperature controlled laboratory is UKAS accredited (Lab 0604) for air flow calibration on both volume flow and mass flow and for both rate and quantity passed measurement. Flow passed is otherwise referred to as batch or total flow measurement and is a regular type of flow measurement calibration practice where a known volume or mass quantity needs to be verified.

Leading provider of oil flow meter calibrations, the Young Calibration hydrocarbon flow calibration facility offers oil meter calibration over a range of different oils and fuels and at at varying fluid temperature and viscosity to allow for slippage and thermal expansion events. The four traceable calibration rigs allow for fluids to be permanently online with stocked popular fluids for the hydraulics, aviation, automotive and motorsport sectors. Two flow calibration rigs are purpose built for undertaking fuel flow calibrations on automotive and aviation fuel pump equipment and have ISO 4113, Jet A1, and Diesel availability with the option for AVGAS with 24 hr notice.

Young Calibration are a leading provider of water meter calibration services, with eight calibration rigs, offering a cost effective and quality service, ideal for verifying and calibrating low cost water utility and test flow meters to MID Class 2 and 3, BS5728 and ISO 9000 to high accuracy ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibrations on coriolis and turbine flowmeters. All rigs have full traceability back to National standards with two rigs being UKAS accredited, giving complete confidence and impartiality for your quality audits, inspections and assessment visits. The water flow meter calibration facility can accommodate all variants of flow meters and flow analysers currently in service covering flow rates from 1 ml/hour to 6000 litres/min with a best measurement uncertainty available from 0.09%.

Air velocity calibration and anemometer calibration services are undertaken in the laboratories` universal UKAS accredited wind tunnels, offering extreme accuracy in both low and high speed operating modes. All types of anemometers and wind speed instruments can be calibrated. The facility can offer independent, UKAS accredited air velocity calibration for all types of pitot static tubes, probes, vanes, rotating cup and general anemometers. International recognition via the ILAC MRA laboratory mutual recognition agreement (MRA).

Our UKAS pressure calibration laboratory is equipped with a range of precision pressure balances, dead weight testers, digital calibrators and digital barometers enabling the company to offer pneumatic, gas, hydraulic and oxygen clean pressure gauge calibration. Our UKAS accredited pressure range covers both absolute and gauge measurement from -0.9 to 35 bar for pneumatic gauge pressure, up to 1100 bar hydraulic gauge pressure and 0.01 to 36 barA for absolute and barometric sensor pressure. Our ISO/IEC 17025 UKAS accredited pressure calibration service is also available for onsite calibration work.

Our mechanical calibration services cover a number of metrology disciplines including; Length, Force, Mass, Torque, Vibration, Pressure and Viscosity. The laboratory is housed within a temperature controlled environment to maintain thermal stability of both the reference standards and instruments under test.
