    River and canal maintenance

When maintaining rivers and canals Watermaster Classics excellent moving capabilities and versatile tools are of prime importance. When Watermaster works, it does not disturb passing traffic because it anchors with its own spuds, unlike one-purpose machines, which require cables for anchoring and stop the other traffic while working. Watermaster Classic is an excellent solution for accurate dredging. It can remove an exact layer of sediment from the bottom. Its excellent moving and anchorage capabilities enable efficient dredging in places where dredging has to be done in several different areas of the river. Watermaster Classic does not need external help to move from one place to another. Precision dredging is especially needed when exact hydrometrical modelling has been done. Watermaster Classic ensures the right results which are effective and long lasting.

    Channel passage deepening

Very typical work for Watermaster Classic is deepening canals, rivers and other waterways. Many sites, which are impossible for other machines to get to, can be deepened and cleaned easily with Watermaster. The vegetation and trash is normally removed first by backhoe work and then the bottom is deepened to the desired depth by backhoe work or by pumping.

Environmental protection solutions for the site construction industry

Safe and Economical Solutions for Site Work. Presto Geosystems has a 35+ year proven track record in civil site construction and restoration solving soil stability and access challenges. Through infill confinement, Presto’s GEOWEB 3D geocells reduce cross-sectional requirements by 50% or more for tracking pads, construction staging areas, access roads and work platforms – and they perform well over soft ground. The safest and most economical portable mats, GEOTERRA, offer fast, temporary site access.

Environmental solutions for the load transfer platforms (LTP)

The GEOWEB system’s ability to effectively spread loads allows it to bridge and distribute loads to fewer pile cap columns, increasing the spacing between columns compared to traditional concrete pile cap systems.  This reduction in pile cap columns significantly decreases costs on a project.  When compared to geogrid solutions for minimizing columns, the GEOWEB® LTP system can be constructed with less expensive sand infill instead of aggregate/gravel.  Deployment operations do not require low pressure earth moving equipment because of the GEOWEB system’s unique ability to support construction equipment loads immediately after infilling.

Tunnel Construction and Underground Mining Industry

Dust can pose a particular hazard for people working in enclosed spaces such as in tunnel construction and deep mining. As the workers inhale, dust gets into their airways and can cause health problems. Poor visibility brings added exposure to risk. A reduction in the amount of dust generated also lengthens the service life of the machines. Therefore efficient dust control is particularly important in this industry.

  • Vacuum excavation solutions for diamond saw slurry

Concrete Cutting Contractors use our LP555SDT for saw slurry clean‐up. Concrete cutting using a Diamond Saw is the process of cutting expansion joints on freshly paved concrete roads. After cutting, water is used to eliminate dust thereby creating a slurry. This slurry has to be cleaned up due to EPA Regulations and the Vac-Tron vacuum excavator is the preferred clean-up method. Using water to create the slurry and then using the LP Series - Wet/Dry Industrial Vacuum Excavation System to eliminate any residue. Contractors perform this application frequently for airport runways and highway repair, as well as new construction.

  • Geosynthetic Lining for Highway and Civil Applications

GCL can be used in highway and civil applications such as at airport de-icing facilities used to remove ice build up on the surfaces of planes. During the application process, glycol-based de-icing fluids can leak into local stormwater runoff, potentially causing pollution. CETCO GCLs were found compatible with de-icing fluid (glycol diluted 50/50 with water). GCLs can also be used to line roadway drainage swales for containment and prevent excessive percolation, thereby minimizing potential for groundwater contamination. Another example of using GCL in civil and highway applications is using the liner to contain acid rock and prevent runoff from entering the local water supply.

  • Separation solutions for constructions industry

Today`s construction industry focuses a great deal on underground drilling and support systems. These processes typically use drilling fluid or slurry techniques. Packaged mud recycling systems are designed to minimize solids waste for disposal and effectively clean drilling fluid and slurry for active reuse.  Foundation Drillers utilize drilling fluids for stability of holes during operation. Mud reclaimers process the used drilling fluid for continuous use downhole and creates less solids waste.
