This technology is based on the activated carbon properties: thanks to its porosity, it is possible to adsorb the greatest part of the organic compounds and extract them through means of nitrogen or steam.

In case of water-insoluble pollutants, it is better to regenerate with steam. In case of water soluble or partially water soluble pollutants, the regeneration is carried out with inert gas (nitrogen).

- Steam consumption reduction (economiser)
- Recovered solvent dehydration
