AGO - Gunwale-Mount Wire Counter Sheave

It is designed to be bolted onto a ship gunwale or similar surface to principally assist with wire payout monitoring while deploying equipment with a crab puller.

Example application:  Researchers who use crab pot haulers to deploy equipment like CTD`s and water samplers can add our gunwale-mount sheave to their set up to avoid accidental impacts with the seafloor.

The design includes an aluminum sheave wheel with a pinch roller for cable retainment, and a powder-coated aluminum bracket with a variety of holes for bolting the system in place.  The sheave dimensions can be customized to suit your cable, and the pinch roller location can be customized to suit your deployment arrangement.
