Hydrophilic PVDF membranes are widely used for the filtration of culture media and other protein solutions due to their very low protein adsorption, high water flux, and broad chemical compatibility. Hydrophilic PVDF membranes have excellent heat and oxygen resistance and are also used for solvent filtration and chromatographic sample preparation.
