Combining vehicle impact containment with pedestrian fall protection, RHINO-STOP Elite is the benchmark in modular carpark safety barrier systems. Featuring energy absorbing baseplates designed to prevent damage to the concrete substrate, the aesthetic design of RHINO-STOP Elite provides high cross flow ventilation, permits natural light into the carpark structure and may be powder coated providing architectural excellence.
The smooth, clean lines of RHINO-STOP® Elite and hot dip galvanised finish make it ideal for the perimeter edge of multistorey or elevated carparks servicing retail centres, transport corridors, commercial developments and many other applications requiring vehicle and pedestrian safety.
The 40kN crash test compliance of RHINO-STOP® Elite as described in AS/NZS 1170.1, Clause 3.8, best represents the Australian vehicle fleet and the growing ownership of high-centre-of-gravity SUV vehicles.
Crash test evaluation:
- Impacts performed on the perimeter edge of 150mm thick elevated concrete slab
- 1500kg Passenger Car travelling at 15km/h & 90 degrees, impacting 0.5m above ground level
- 2000kg Pick-up Truck travelling at 20km/h & 90 degrees, impacting 1.0m above ground level
- Complies with the 40kN vehicle impact load (Type G) described in AS/NZS 1170.1, Clause 3.8
- Complies with the 30kN vehicle impact load (Type F) described in AS/NZS 1170.1, Clause 3.8
- Standard post spacing – 2.3m centres
- Standard system height – 1100mm
- Available with a sight rail attachment increasing system height to 1300mm
