Tramfloc - Model 556 -Cationic Coagulant
Tramfloc 556 is a high molecular weight, highly charged, liquid inorganic coagulant aid of polyaluminum chloride. Tramfloc 556 is completely water soluble and all Tramfloc 520,620,550 and 730 series polymers are NSF£ approved for clarification of potable water, food processing and membrane feed water.
Uses
Tramfloc 556 is highly effective in a variety of liquid/solids separation processes when used alone or in conjunction with a flocculant. Tramfloc 556 provides excellent results in water clarification where high color and/or turbidity and fines are prevalent.
Make-Down
It is recommended that stock solutions, 10 - 50.0%, be prepared or product may be fed neat.
Packaging
Tramfloc 556 is available in 550# net weight drums, tote bins, and in bulk.
Handling and Storage
Polymer solutions should be made-down and diluted in stainless steel, FRP or plastic vessels. Iron and aluminum components should be avoided. Make-down water temperatures should be between 60-85° F. Tramfloc 556 should be stored in a cool, dry place.
Safety and Health
Spills of polymer are extremely slippery. Precautions should be taken to prevent them from entering lakes or streams. Tramfloc Polymer Cleaner 348 can be used to remove residue from equipment and floors. Polymer can be flushed with copious amounts of water and disposed of according to local regulations or treated with an absorbent material, then collected for subsequent legal disposal. Precaution should be taken to prevent inhalation, ingestion or contact with skin or eyes. Observing basic industrial hygiene precautions should prevent any health or safety hazards.
