Tramfloc - Model 258T -Cationic Flocculant and Dewatering Agent Tablets
Tramfloc 25 8T is a medium charge and medium weight cationic polyacrylamide pressed into a 1 ounce tablet for ease of use in special feeding requirement applications. Tramfloc 258T is supplied as a powder. Tramfloc 258T is completely water soluble and produces high viscosity solutions at very low concentrations. Tramfloc 258T is used as a general flocculant and dewatering agent in municipal operations, tailings thickeners and in various industrial applications.
Uses
Tramfloc 258T can be used for conditioning primary and secondary, digested sludge and to aid in dewatering. Tramfloc 258T is used alone or with primary coagulants.
Make-Down
It is recommended that bags/containers of tablets be suspended in a dilution water stream.
Packaging
Tramfloe 258T is available in 35# plastic pails packed 36 per pallet.
Handling and Storage
Polymer solutions can be fed with stainless steel. FRP or plastic vessels, if required. Amphoteric metallic components should be avoided. Make-down water temperatures should be between 60-85°F. Store pails should be stored in a cool. dry place.
Safety and Health
Dry polymer spills should be left dry and swept up at once. Spills of solutions are extremely slippery. Precautions should be taken to prevent them from entering lakes or streams. Tramfloc8` Polymer Cleaner 348 can be used to remove residue from equipment and floors. Polymer can be flushed with copious amounts of water and disposed of according to local regulations or treated with an absorbent material, then collected for subsequent legal disposal. Tramfloc5 25 8T has been shown to exhibit a low order of toxicity. Nevertheless, precaution should be taken to prevent inhalation, ingestion or contact with skin or eyes. Observing basic industrial hygiene precautions should prevent any health or safety hazards.
