InduMar - Model XCorr SA -Chemical Resistance Composite Repair Product
XCorr SA provides a composite repair solution specifically for sulfuric acid piping. A two-part novolac epoxy is paired with with fiberglass reinforcements to create an acid resistant pipe wrap able to seal leaks and withstand high internal pressure.
XCorr® SA is a hand-applied composite wrap repair designed to seal leaks and provide future containment on piping suffering from reduced wall thickness. The repair approach utilizes a 2-patt epoxy system selected to resist degradation upon exposure to sulfuric acid, regardless of concentration. The epoxy is supplied in pre-measured and tatioed quantities to insure the precise mixing required to obtain optimal chemical resistance. The epoxy is combined with high performance fiberglass reinforcement fabrics and a technical felt to provide superior leak sealing capacity and strong interfacial bonding. XCorr® SA is recommended for pressure applications up to 1.000 psi (70 kg/cm2) with a built in 4:1 safety margin. The composite repair approach provides a timely pathway to leak containment without the need for immediate metal work.
- Novolac epoxy resin yields exceptional resistance to sulfuric acid
- 100% solids. No VOCs
- 3:1 mixing ratio (pre-measured)
- Cartridge dispensing minimizes waste, ensures complete mixing, and manages pot life
- Fiberglass weave provides multidirectional mechanical reinforcement and conformability to irregular geometries • Primary technical felt layer ensures complete interfacial wetting and highest pressure performance
Packaging: Resin supplied in dual cartridge (parts A and B packaged separately) with pre-measured volumes sized specifically for full coverage of supplied reinforcement fabric. Kits provided with static mixers, spreaders and gloves. Two-part dispensing guns sold separately.
Sizes: Reinforcement tape supplied in 6" widths and premeasured lengths. The required resin volumes are supplied in ready to use 400 mL or 1.0 L dual cartridge assemblies.
- Shelf Life: Part A: 12 months at 75°F (24`C). Part B: 12 months at 75=F (24BC)
