AquaBlokComposite Particle System

SHARE

AquaBlok is a patented, composite-aggregate technology resembling small stones that is typically comprised of a dense aggregate core. In this application of the technology, a powdered high-swell sodium bentonite coating is utilized (Figure 1) with varying percentages of additive (bentonite) layer by percent of total weight.

AquaBlok – 2080FW is a freshwater formulation which is approximately 20% Bentonite by weight based on the total quantity of material used in production. This product will provide a low permeability seal in the water without mechanical compaction.

AquaBlok® and its broader family of products allow fine-grained (i.e. powdered) materials of high value to be applied uniformly and efficiently in and around both freshwater and saltwater environments.

  • Efficient delivery of high value materials at low concentrations
  • No field mixing or blending
  • Low cost handling & installation
  • Unique geotechnical attributes: self-compacting; high shear strength
  • Highly versatile: custom-formulate for project-specific need
