Corgin - Turbo Blowers
The Turbo Blower is every aeration expert’s dream. With a footprint of some 50% of its rivals, this freestanding blower is up to 40% more efficient than traditional positive displacement blowers, and up to 10% more efficient than other high speed turbo blowers. With such incredible efficiences, the Turbo Blower is a true Totex solution, i.e. one that offers the lowest whole life cost compared to other blower types.
Oil-free bearings
At the heart of the Turbo Blower is bump foil air bearing technology. Air bearings are oil-free, contactless and almost frictionless in operation, meaning less noise and vibration, indefinite bearing life, and no maintenance. They have been exhaustively tested through 25,000 start-stop cycles – the equivalent of more than 20 years’ operation.
Unique Impeller
The high-efficiency impeller was designed using software based on gas turbine engine technology in the aero industry. It uses both axial and radial compression, and has a large diameter for maximum efficiency. It is solid forged, with 5-axis machining for high integrity and precision, and increased fatigue strength.
High-Tech Motor
The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) gives precise control of motor speed and minimal efficiency loss throughout a wide turndown range. This gives the Turbo Blower significant efficiency gains compared to blowers with other motor types. With very low heat emissions, no additional cooling system is required.
Plug and Play
Compared to most of its predecessors, the Turbo Blower is very self-contained, making it as close as you can get to ‘plug and play’. This significantly reduces installation time and simplifies control. A non-proprietary touch screen PLC, Variable Speed Drive and condition monitoring all come integrated as standard.
Versatile
The Turbo Blower can be installed both indoors and outdoors under cover, with a proven track record at temperatures ranging from -30°C to +50°C. There are also dual and quad core options for larger aeration requirements, reducing the overall footprint even further and providing built-in redundancy. This can be useful for future growth schemes.
Ultra-low Maintenance
Most units have no maintenance requirements apart from routine filter changes. Filters are inexpensive and can be cleaned and re-used. Larger units may require routine coolant checks. Built-in condition monitoring gives early alerting of any maintenance requirements.
