Krilico Demi - Demineralization Filters
Demineralization filters Krilico Demi are designed for complete desalination of water with extremely low electrical conductivity. During the filter operation, all cations and anions are removed from the water, resulting in practically pure H2O. Special ion exchange resins are used as the filtering material. These filters can be used both independently and for further purification of water after reverse osmosis.
They are most commonly used for:
- Obtaining ultra-pure water in laboratories, power plants, electronics manufacturing, etc;
- Preparing water for heating boilers with aluminum heat exchangers;
- In thermal power engineering;
- Water inlet/outlet connection: ¾";
- Min/max pressure: 2/6 bar;
- Max. water temperature: 40°C;
- Electrical connection: not required;
- Waste water: absent;
The degree of purification after the filter with mixed ion exchange resin will be as follows:
- For tap water with a conductivity of 5–10 µS/cm: the water will be purified to a very low salt level;
- For water after reverse osmosis with a conductivity of 0.5–1 µS/cm: the filter will provide additional purification, approaching water with practically no salts;
Mixed-action resin is not subject to regeneration and requires replacement with new resin after exhaustion.
The working capacity of mixed resin depends on the quality of water supplied to the filter (ratio of cations to anions).
To control the quality of desalinated water, a conductivity meter can be used. The conductivity sensor is mounted in the filter valve head. The device has two indicator lights. The green light indicates that the water meets the required conductivity, for example, 5 µS/cm. The red light warns that the water conductivity exceeds, for example, 5 µS/cm, indicating the need to replace the resin.
