DJE - Model VDC 200 -Vertical Drum Crushers
The Vertical Drum Crusher VDC 200 model is designed to crush 200 litre steel drums down to a fraction of their original size. Drums are placed one at a time into the enclosed chamber. Once the safety door is closed, the crush blade first pierces the drum to ensure that any air inside the drum can escape while the drum is being crushed. A liquids residue sump is incorporated to ensure containment.
The VDC 200 is available with standard or for when used in a hazardous environment ATEX approved electrical components are provided.
Horizontal Drum Crusher.
The HDC 200 model drum crusher is designed so that 200 litre drums can be rolled into the crush chamber with the crushed disc automatically ejected making the system ideal for high volume throughput.
ATEX approved electrical components are used when operating in high risk zones. The PakDrum Pak 200 is designed for compacting waste materials into steel or fibre drums and it is frequently used for low level hazardous waste destined for incineration. The user can achieve a maximum payload into each drum which equates to around 34 black bags into a steel drum.
These units are available with a fixed base and fork lift slots (shown) or with a detachable steel pallet for removing the drums with a pallet truck. Where required drum packers can be fitted out to ATEX level. For more high risk material a HEPA filtration system can be incorporated.
Universal Drum Crusher
The UDC crusher is designed to eliminate all manual handling of large 200 litre type steel drums. A pallet load of 4 drums is placed into the crusher where upon the drums are taken off the pallet, crushed down to 4 discs and then ejected into a purpose made tipping skip.
The contents of the skip (approx. 20 drums) are then emptied by forklift into a large open top RO/RO container. This system is ATEX rated and designed to contain any residue liquids.
Mini Can Crusher Range
The mini can crushers range have proven themselves to be very effective where there are a lot of used drinks cans or tins being generated at locations such as holiday camps, college campus` or schools, catering and paint shops. The tins or cans are compacted into a semi briquette which is then ejected using a hand lever. These compact and simple to operate units can pay for themselves in a very short period of time.
