Tramfloc - Model 1029 -Drilling Fluid Scale Inhibitor
Tramfloc 1029 is a medium molecular weight polyacrylate scale inhibitor. It is an anionic polymer of 50% solids and a viscosity of approximately 400 cps. Tramfloc 1029 is supplied as a stable, low viscosity solution. Tramfloc 1029 is completely water soluble, biodegradable and is safe to use. This formulation modifies the crystal structure and shape of the forming crystal so that it does not adhere to the surface. The product consistency assures predictable performance and is effective at very low dosages.
Uses
Tramfloc 1029 is used to prevent scale deposition including the carbonate and sulfate salts of barium, calcium, magnesium and strontium. Tramfloc 1029 has a thermal stability of up to 500°F. This formulation is an exceptional threshold scale inhibitor and can be used in water flood systems, salt water disposal systems and producing wells. This formulation is an excellent choice for continuous injection treatments in producing wells and surface treatments as well as squeeze treatments for water and oil producing wells. Typical dosages vary between 2 and 25 ppm depending on the level of scale encountered.

It is recommended that Tramfloc 1029 be fed directly to the affected plant process to be treated.

Handling and Storage
Tramfloc 1029 should be stored in a cool, dry place. Empty drums should be disposed of according to local regulations.
Safety and Health
Spills of this product are extremely slippery. Precautions should be taken to prevent them from entering lakes or streams. Tramfloc 1029 has been shown to exhibit a low order of toxicity. Nevertheless, precaution should be taken to prevent inhalation, ingestion or contact with skin or eyes. Observing basic industrial hygiene precautions should prevent any health or safety hazards.
