ALTEK was the inventor of the dross press in the early 1990s and at that time had a relationship with a UK company called J M McIntyre, who distributed the ALTEK products. Following this the TARDIS press was initiated and the two systems from the same birthplace became available in the market.
With the acquisition of TARDIS in July 2009, the ALTEK and former TARDIS technical teams have been working hard on integrating the two technologies to provide their customers with the very latest dross press technology, incorporating the best features from both systems.
The result is the TARDIS Gen II dross press range – the most advanced dross press technology in the world. The patented technology provides the very best in-house metal recovery and maximizes secondary aluminium recovery through the very efficient cooling technology.
The Gen II press is built to stringent international standards in Europe and USA to suit local requirements and service and spares availability. It is safe, easy to use, is environmentally clean, low in operating and maintenance costs and occupies very little space.
