Remon - Electronic De-Ionization (EDI) System
Remon`s EDI systems have been developed entirely in-house and are equipped with a cell produced in the West, so that the end quality of the ultrapure water is secured. For the pre-treatment of an EDI system, a softener and a membrane filtration system with reverse osmosis should always be used first. For this, the water is of sufficient quality to be treated with EDI. In practice, this is called a demineralisation street.
EDI, or Electronic De-Ionization, is a post-treatment technique used to produce ultrapure water. By combining techniques that all together look very much as a mixture of membrane filtration, ion exchange and electrolysis, residual salts present in the water are removed and ultrapure water with a very low conductivity remains. This water is ready for use in the pharmaceutical industry, boiler feed water, steam production, AUS32 (diesel exhaust fluid) production, or Hydrogen production. The systems are equipped with a colour touch screen with full online operation.
