From there the separated substances can be removed continuously (e.g. through a fine water film) or discontinuously (through knocker, steam, CIP-water). In this way, also sticky or greasy substances as grease, sticky dusts and similar can be removed from the air without clogging the filter system. AAIRMAXX® electrostatic tube filter are often used for exhaust air with higher concentrations of emissions.

The KMA AAIRMAXX® system consists of a large electrostatic filter tube, which does not allow resistance or pressure losses. Thus the exhaust air can in principle pass the KMA electrostatic filter without hindrance. The exhaust air to be cleaned is led vertically through the tube, which is equipped with an ionization electrode inside. The ionization electrode generates a strong electric filed with very little energy expenditure. Particles like dust, tar and water droplets are charged by electrostatic energy and settle on the inner surface of the tubes or flow down to be collected in a collecting vessel. To avoid the accumulation of emissions inside the AAIRMAXX® System and to guarantee the high separation efficiency of the electrostatic filter, it is cleaned regularly by the automatic cleaning system. These features make the KMA Electrostatic Filter to an economic, low-maintenance and long-lasting filter medium for diverse applications in the industry.

For difficult odor problems the energy efficient AAIRMAXX® electrostatic filter tubes can be combined with KMA scrubbers or activated carbon filters.
