Some of the new design features focus on the aspect ratio of the cyclone inlet, limitations on flux rates and cyclone inlet to outlet criteria. Other features are related to the construction details, where we have adopted a new crossover duct design and have minimized the use of edge bars in the refractory linings throughout the cyclone assembly. We have also developed a dust hopper and lined dipleg stub design that enhances the catalyst discharge from the cyclones and mitigates the effects of erosion.
We can evaluate your existing cyclone system for current operating rates and recommend necessary modifications to help maximize the performance and/or minimize potential erosion problems that could result in unscheduled shutdowns.
