Tramfloc - Model 1100 -Foam Control Agent
Tramfloc 1100 is a food-grade defoamer designed to control foam in various food and industrial chemical processes. This Tramfloc formulation complies with 21 CFR 176.170, .180 and .210 and 40 CFR 180.1001. According to this regulation, different foods have specific limitations. TramflocE1100 was specifically designed to be used in food systems which experience foam formation due the presence of fats, oils, protein, sugars and other process ingredients. This Tramfloc^ formulation is based on polyol ester chemistry. There are no animal products used to manufacture of these Tramfloc£foam control agents. TramflocE1100 is particularly effective in digesters and evaporators, both pressure and vacuum. Tramfloc21100 is used in potato, egg, dairy and other vegetable, and chemically induced foams in the milling, refining and production of industrial chemical products.
Properties
Tramfloc2 1100 has the appearance of a clear amber liquid. It is dispersable in water and has a density of about 7.27 lbs per gallon.
Uses
TramflocE1100 is used for the following applications: potato processing, starch recover}`, sugar processing, vegetable processing, highly alkaline systems, high temperature systems, agricultural sprays, herbicides, evaporative crystallizers, metal working fluids and paper pulp. Stirring is recommended prior to use of this product. A starting dose of 60 to 200 ppm is recommended. The dosage should be adjusted to achieve the desired level of foam control. It is recommended that the maximum use level of this TramflocE formulation in processed foods should not exceed that which is deemed necessary to control foam in the process. This Tramfloc2 formulation should be added as received via metering system early in the foaming process to prevent foam formulation.
Safety and Health
Wash exposed areas with soap and water. Flush eyes with water for a minimum of 15 minutes. If irritation or nausea persists, seek medical attention. If inhalation occurs, move victim to fresh air. If unconscious, administer artificial respiration and seek medical attention.
