HydroZone Foggers are suitable for workplace and whole room disinfection and have many applications. A saturating fog is generated from pure ozone-water (OW) and electrostatically charged.  The tiny particles of OW are attracted to hard and soft surfaces where pathogenic microorganisms hide.  The active oxygen from ozone rapidly attacks and kills bacteria and other microbes leaving no chemical residues behind.

HydroZone Fogging Systems generate a saturating or supersaturating fog of electrostatically charged ozonated water particles. These particles are attracted to both hard and soft surfaces over which they spread evenly. Bacteria and microorganisms contacted by ozone-water (OW) particles are subjected to the oxidising power of ozone. The cell walls of bacteria and other microorganisms are rapidly penetrated, cell function disrupted and genetic material attacked. Cell lysis rapidly ensues. OW particles deliver active oxygen (O1) directly to bacteria and provide an effective means for workplace and whole-room disinfection.

The OW fog is generated from pure ozonated water by ultrasound and an electrostatic charge is applied to the fine water particles. The saturating OW fog is designed to maximise biocidal effect and thereby provide effective work place disinfection. Research indicates that fogging is effective at reducing microbial airborne populations by a factor of Log 3 (99.9) within 30 to 60 minutes and on hard surfaces by a factor of Log 5 (99.999) within the same time scale. Electrostatic charging ensures greater surface coverage of the aerosol particles, particularly on machinery and equipment.

For whole room disinfection, OW fog has several significant advantages:

  • The fine aerosol penetrates every part of a room including difficult-to-reach places that may not be properly disinfected by ordinary means
  • Ozone is an extremely powerful and fast-acting biocide, and
  • Ozone simply reverts to oxygen leaving no chemical residues behind

After the treatment cycle has been completed, the level of ozone can be reduced rapidly by the use of a quenching agent that literally mops-up the remaining ozone leaving the room clean, safe and fresh for immediate re-occupation.
