The final process in any recycling program and the most important stage of any system is the drying stage. High moisture levels reduce pelletizing efficiency and can be detrimental to the quality of the final pellet.
Different pelletizing machinery can tolerate different levels of moisture; we can design systems with a range of moisture outputs, in most cases between 1% and 3%. We use a combination of the following machines:
- Horizontal centrifugal dryer
- Thermal drying
- Pipe drying system
- Mechanical dryers for pre-drying film
- Air classifier (serves other purpose as well as drying)
Different types of film, in particular film with different thicknesses, will require different types of machinery that can reduce the moisture to an acceptable level. While most requirements are at around 3~4%, we can bring that level down to under 1% if necessary, by utilizing a more comprehensive set of drying machines.
