The new methane sensor module is based on NDIR principle, the core of the sensor is an LED-photodiode optopair working in the middle infrared range (3.4 μm region) produced by LED Microsensor NT using its own unique technology, which allows acquiring high CH4 measurement resolution with very low power consumption.
Main technical parameters:
- Diffusion type detection;
- Measurement in 0-5% (volume) concentration range;
- Accuracy not worse than 200 ppm;
- USB-powered:
input current: 8 mA;
input voltage: 3.5-5 V;
- Connection type: UART (or USB under request);
- Quick response time – <2 s;
- Operating temperature range – 0..+50°C;
- Size: 70x30x14 mm (including optical cell and circuitry);
- Gases: precalibrated for methane, but will respond to most hydrocarbons.
Key parameters of the new sensor module – low power consumption, fast response time - open wide opportunities for its usage within autonomously operated portable analysers, as well as complete sensor networks.
