MicroporeModel LTS-1 -Monosized Droplet Generator System

The Micropore LTS-1 is designed for Laboratory use and comes in a standard configuration. It is the first step in scale-up from proof of principle and formulation development carried out on the Micropore LDC-1 towards a robust manufacturing process. It has a capacity of up to 10 kg/hr of dispersed phase. Monosized droplets – with resulting yield improvements and reduced waste. Low shear – with resulting preservation of sensitive materials. Ideal development tool for continuous manufacturing. Operational stability under different flow rates. Data shown from membrane area of 50cm2. Dispersed phase flow rate up to 10 kg/hr.

Continuous Phase Pump

  • Magnetically coupled gear pump.
  • Viscosity range: 0.2 to 1500 centipoise. 
  • Max flow rate: 1.6 litres/minute at 5000 rpm.
  • Maximum fluid temperature: 121°C.
  • Wetted parts: 316 stainless steel base material, PEEK gears, PTFE seals.

Control Panel

  • Stop, start & emergency stop buttons.
  • Door mounted HMI with operator input on oscillation displacement, frequency and membrane outer diameter.
