Model Chlorosorb Ultra -Carbon-based Filter Media
PURAFIL ESD CHLOROSORB ULTRA MEDIA’S removal capacity for chlorine gas (Cl2) is 15% minimum by weight. For example, 100 lbs (45.36 kg) of Chlorosorb Ultra Media will remove a minimum of 15 lbs (6.80 kg) of chlorine. Third-party laboratory testing demonstrates Chlorosorb Ultra’s ability to remove the entire contents of a fully-loaded, storage cylinder with less than 25 parts per billion at discharge.
Media Specification
Chlorosorb* Ultra carbon-based media shall consist of manufactured, generally spherical, porous pellets measuring 1/8" in diameter. Pellets shall be formed from a combination of powdered activated carbon, alumina and other binders, suitably impregnated to enhance the capacity for removal of chlorine. Impregnants shall be applied during pellet formation, such that the impregnant is uniformly distributed throughout the pellet volume
The Chemisorptive Process
The chemisorptive process shall remove contaminant gases by means of adsorption, absorption, and chemical reaction. Gases shall be trapped within the pellet where an irreversible chemical reaction changes the gases into harmless solids, eliminating the possibility of desorption.
Removal Capacity
- Chlorosorb" Ultra`s removal capacity`for chlorine gas (CI2) is 15% minimum by weight.
- For example, 100 lbs (45.36 kg) 0! Odomsatf Ulna Media will remove a minimum of 15 lbs (6.80kg)olchiofine.
