COMPANY HISTORY

Starting in 1990 and after 5 years as Development Manager in the US headquarters, Tom Trigas established and managed the European Service Center for the American manufacturer of turbine flowmeters EG & G Flow Technology.

Four years later, he founded TrigasFI GmbH as an independent calibration laboratory for liquid and gas flow measurements. As a result of persistent requests, he began in 2000 also to build flow calibrators and test benches for other customers.

The quality of the offered services was widely recognized. In 2002, TrigasFI GmbH was audited by the German PTB and received the status of the accredited DKD laboratory for liquids. In 2007 followed the approval for gases.

In 2010, the company building became too small and the company was relocated. Since then new calibration rigs were built including a loop flow calibrator to extend the capacity for liquid calibrations up to 5000 l/min and a proprietary low flow displacer the expanded the low flow capability down to 0.00005 l/min (0,05 ml/min).

All were included in the expanded DAkkS accreditation with uncertainties as good as 0.04%.

With increasing specialization in flow calibration and flowmeter design, the accumulated Flow Knowhow was used to advantage in order to develop and build a line of improved flowmeters, which though mechanical improvements and special calibrations outperforms existing market solutions both in terms of accuracy and turndown ranges.
