Geogrids are engineered geosynthetics primarily used for the stabilisation and reinforcement of soils. They are made from polymer materials such as polypropylene or polyester and feature a grid-like structure that provides high tensile strength and stiffness.
Naue’s geogrids, such as the Secugrid® range, are designed to increase the load-bearing capacity and strength of soils by distributing loads evenly and reducing soil deformation. These properties make them ideal for applications in road construction, railway construction, dam and dike construction, as well as for general soil stabilisation and erosion control.
- Road Construction: Enhances the performance and lifespan of pavements.
- Railway Construction: Increases the stability of track beds and reduces maintenance costs.
- Slope Protection: Prevents soil erosion and landslides.
- Retaining Walls: Reinforces retaining structures and prevents collapses.
- Environmental Protection: Used in landfill liners and cover systems.
- High Tensile Strength: Exceptional durability and performance under high loads.
- Long-term Stability: Resistant to environmental influences and chemical exposure.
- Easy Installation: Quick and efficient placement, reducing construction time and costs.
- Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of applications and soil types.
- Sustainability: Significant CO2 savings compared to comparable construction methods using lime stabilization or concrete.
