Piedmont - Model Style P -Non-metallic Plastic Composite
The non-metallic Style P plastic composite provides the ultimate corrosion resistance with adequate strength for a broad range of duty applications and throughout the low and moderate pressure range up to 6.9 bar (100 psig) to 13.8 bar (200 psig) depending on pipe size in the range of 2.5-inch to 8-inch nominal pipe size.
Applications can impose severe-duty factors in addition to the maximum continuous operating pressure rating. These additional design requirements must be considered in selecting the appropriate Piedmont coupling.
Connections
The P style coupling is designed expressly for brackish, MF, UF and NF membrane filtration, permeate and other low pressure applications

- 3.0’’ – 4.0’’ 225 psi (16 bar)

Components
Housing
Plastic composite resin*, UV resistant, non-water absorptive. Completely corrosion resistant.
Gaskets
EPDM rubber, suitable for hot and cold water service. Two shapes of gaskets available: C-shaped or Flush-fit. NSF/ANSI 61 approved for drinking water system components. Not suitable for petroleum service. *EPDM peroxide cured gaskets available upon request (for special applications such us chloramines, etc…)
Bolts/Nuts
Round / hexagonal head, oval neck, 316 stainless steel bolts and heavy hex nuts conform to ASTM F-593, Group 2, condition CW.
*This plastic composite is made of a homogeneous mix of polymers creating a strong plastic able to sustain pressures up to 200 PSI (14 bar). This material is ideal for fresh and brackish water applications
