Hybrid REITHER - Scrubber
The Hybrid Reither Scrubber is an innovative air treatment solution designed to achieve high-performance fine dust and aerosol removal from industrial emissions. Developed in collaboration with Bayer, it integrates jet washer and venturi scrubber technologies to optimize dedusting processes. It features a fixed throat cross-section that ensures a consistent pressure drop, providing stable separation efficiency unaffected by flow rate changes. The hybrid compressed air-water nozzles enhance dust pre-agglomeration by atomizing the scrubbing liquid, which increases interaction with particulates. These nozzles also introduce a pulsating spray action, creating turbulence that promotes the capture of sub-micron dust via the venturi throat. Furthermore, the scrubber's versatility extends to functioning as a gas absorber, effectively managing both particulate and gaseous emissions. Its design facilitates maximum dust removal efficiency with minimal pressure loss, making it a proficient solution for environmental emission control.
High collection on superfine dusts and aerosols
Developed in association with Bayer, the venturi Hybrid REITHER® scrubber combines the technology of jet washers and REITHER® venturi scrubbers. The Hybrid REITHER® is equipped with a fix throat cross section which maintains a constant pressure drop across the throat, hence a constant separation efficiency, independent of any flow rate fluctuation. As in a jet scrubber, the use of hybrid compressed air-water nozzles allows the spraying of very fine drops of water.
The hybrid nozzles lead to dust pre-agglomeration. In the Hybrid nozzle the scrubbing liquid is atomized by compressed air, whereby a pulsation of ejection of drops is produced by installed resonance chambers. This scrubber achieves very high efficiency separation of sub-micron dusts with a low pressure drop. The design allows it also to be used as a gas absorber.
The specially designed nozzles have the additional feature of spraying with a pulsating motion that causes very strong turbulence within the gas and leads to pre-agglomeration of dust particles. The gases mixed with the water drops are then passed through a venturi throat in order to capture the ultra-fine dust in the washing liquid.
This Hybrid REITHER® scrubber achieves very high efficiency separation of sub-micron dusts with a low pressure drop. The design allows it also to be used as a gas absorber.
