LODOred - Model 100k -Surplus Activated Sludge Disposal

Given this situation, Bioazul S.L has development LODOred-100k, an innovative and environmentally friendly product based on enzyme stabilisers and vitamin amongst others. LODOred-100kenhances the catabolic efficiency of bacteria found in activated sludge system and slow down their capacity to generate new biomass, resulting in the reduction of the surplus sludge in the source.

The product is design to induce a change in biomass metebolism and in particular in the balance catabolism/anabolism. Organic matter degradation (catabolism) is promoted through a mixture of vitamins and enzyme stabilisers while new cell biosynthesis (anabolism) is slowed down by means of other substances.

Since bacteria become more efficient to remove the incoming BOD load and new biomass generation is controlled, less bacteria will be required to remove the same BOD load.

Up to 45% surplus sludge reduction is then achieved prompting great savings in sludge management.

• LODOred-100k is delivered to your wastewater treatment plant as a liquid concentrate. The product is pumped directly from the canister into the activated sludge basin (for small plants dilution may be required using tap water). Continuous dosage must be ensured by means of a suitable dosing pump and the dosing rate will be adjusts by the Bioazul technical staff for each WWTP to achieve optimal cost-efficiency. Microbiological contamination of the product must be always avoided.

• LODOred -100k is 100 % biodegradable and its pH is neutral. The composition of the product is not hazardous either to the people or to the environment and it is not classified as dangerous according to European law. A Material Safety Data Sheet is available upon request.
