VSS - Hybrid Nozzle Venturi Scrubber System
VSS-Umwelttechnik offers a new type of Venturi scrubber system Bayer-Reither with hybrid nozzles for the separation of aerosols and fine dusts. These scrubbers (system Bayer-Reither) are marketed under licence with Reither Venturiwäscher GmbH.
This Venturi scrubber (see illustration) is a compact, reliable construction which implements highly efficient separation of fine dusts with near to zero pressure loss.
Fine dust and aerosol separation is possible for particle sizes in the submicron range, as well as simultaneous gas absorption, for emissions which, besides dust, show proportions of oils, particulate matters, acids or water vapour.
At a grain size of 1 μm, 99% of the particles may be separated.
The simple construction allows trouble-free retrofitting. Existing fans usually do not need to be replaced.
Volume flows of 100 m3/h up to 180.000 m3/h can be treated. Typical application areas are:
- Purification of flue gas from incineration plants for solid and liquid chemical waste
- Exhaust gas cleaning in pyrolysis plants
- Fine dust separation during thermal process gas removal in the production of semiconductors
- Separation of acid- and salt aerosols (e.g. HCl, H2SO4, SO3, H3PO4, NH4Cl, SnCl2, etc.)
- Separation of ferric oxide dust and HCl aerosols from pickle regeneration plants
- Dust removal from sludge drying plants, exhaust gas cleaning in coating plants for glass bottles and flat glass
- Paint pigment production
- Drying plants in the chemical industry
- Exhaust gas cleaning in roasting plants for sulphide ores and in ore agglomerating plants
- Exhaust gas cleaning in the non-ferrous metal industry (melting works, metal recycling)
- Separation of fine dust and toxic gases from laser machining
