Water Aeration Diffuser (aeration diffuser: fine bubble , coarse bubble )

In diffused air aeration methods, the use of air diffusers are recommended for proper transfer and injection of compressed air into water or sewage due to the production of very fine bubbles. Diffusers are of fine or coarse bubble types depending on the application and size of their (fine) pores. As smaller the air bubbles are, the higher oxygen transfer efficiency will be. Fine bubble diffusers are made of a disc with a holding frame of polypropylene, and a rubber membrane of EPDM, with very fine pores for the passing of air bubbles. In many cases, coarse-bubble diffusers are preferred due to the need to more mixing and turbulence especially in sewage equalization tanks. These diffusers have advantages of better mixing, thick sludge and sediments suspension.
