WEI - Hydraulic Elevators

Scope of work

• It is very useful during tripping operation to avoid to screw/unscrew the DP and CSG for every connections.
• This operation is done by two hydraulic cylinders that in closing position move inner inserts to the pipe already in the Elevator and catch it.
• By opening the two cylinders, the DP or CSG is released.
• It is safe and it saves time.
• A light in the Elevator Control Panel advises the operator if the Elevator has caught or not the pipe.
• Moreover it can be used also for mud circulation thanks to the installation of Packers.

Application

• WEI Elevator is not only for WEI Drilling Rig.
• It can easily be connected with other Top Drive brand only by a connection with saver sub API style.

News

• The new model of WEI Elevator is also for drilling operations.
• Thanks to its reinforced body and the addition of one set of bearing, the new Elevators can guarantee the same Torque and rpm as the Top Drive.

• No people is needed on the drill floor during the complete operation.
