Plexus IWS Remote - Model 025 Series -Wireless Option for AT Monitors 5020 and 5029 Depth Probes
Using the wireless option kit from Plexus Controls, the AT Monitors 6107 system can be upgraded with an optional wireless communications kit. The wireless upgrade links a remote 5020 or 5029 depth probe to the 6107 panel without any conduit or wiring.
The wireless upgrade consist of 2 parts:
- A wireless communications card (WCC) with internal antenna that installs directly into the 6107 monitoring panel.
- A fully integrated remote wireless system (RWS) that attaches to the 5020 or 5029 depth probe through a ½” NPT connector and houses the radio system and batteries (2 x lithium C cells).
In addition to the 6107 system, the RWS can connect to an Ethernet gateway for data logging and network enabled real time monitoring and alarms.
The wireless link can transmit up to 1km outdoors or 500m indoors. Long range antennas and repeaters are available if required. 3 operational LED’s are provided to manage the wireless connectivity in the WCC:
- System LED: Confirms the wireless system is powered. If the system LED is flashing the wireless link is down.
- Low Battery LED: Lights when the remote system battery voltage drops below 2.3V
- Calibration LED: Lights when a calibration routing is running
The WCC is installed in the 6107 panel and preprogrammed with the read frequency at manufacturing. Typical battery life is expected to be 5 to 10 years depending on the read frequency.
