Carbon Offsetting
You can reduce your greenhouse gas emissions on a global scale, no matter where your company is located. Since it is nearly impossible to reduce the emissions of a company completely, offsetting offers the possibility of making corresponding emission reductions elsewhere in the world. All carbon emissions generated by products or companies can be rendered carbon-neutral by offsetting them with carbon credits.
We help you deal with questions addressing issues such as carbon neutrality, emissions trading or carbon credits, and present you with tailored solutions for appropriate implementation:

When can you claim to be carbon neutral? Swiss Climate is convinced that the process of offsetting and carbon neutrality must be traceable, transparent, credible and compatible with international standards.
We therefore advocate the following quality standards:
- Precise CO2 data collection for clear definition of the scope of emissions to be offset.
- Use of carbon credits audited by renowned auditors according to internationally recognised standards (e.g. Gold Standard).
- No "futures": We only offer already issued credits which we then cancel on your behalf, for verifiable carbon neutrality (in contrast to "futures" where the reduction only takes place in the future).
- Mechanism suitable for external auditing of the offsetting process (calculation, cancellation of carbon credits).
