Construction Observation Services
RJN has completed over $300 million in construction management services for infrastructure improvement projects. Our success comes from a staff of knowledgeable personnel with construction experience and training. Management and coordination of regulatory agencies, contractors, municipalities, home owners and local utilities all play an important part in completing a successful project.
Our staff not only sees that the project is installed as specified and presented on the plans, but also conducts a continuing review of the constructability of the project as it progresses looking for ways to improve productivity, improve the schedule and save cost.
Should changes occur in the field that could result in increased cost through a change order, our staff will work with the contractor and owner to minimize these changes and still maintain a quality result.
Typical Construction Observation Task includes:
- Constructability review
- Contract Management
- Conduct and/or participate in preconstruction meetings
- Review of submittals and shop drawings
- Full time or part time on site inspections
- Documentation of the construction activities (logs and photos)
- Evaluation of contractor pay applications
- Substantial completion and final completion inspections
- Documenting as-built plans
