Groundwater Remediation Services

SHARE

In 1972, WESTON installed and began operating a groundwater remediation system at the Army Creek Landfill site. At the time, it was one of the first “pump and treat” groundwater remediation systems ever installed. Since that time, WESTON has performed 1,200 projects related to groundwater, wastewater, leachate, and stormwater treatment.

With WESTON’s long history of implementing groundwater remediation systems, our staff is experienced in the successful completion of many groundwater remediation projects. For this reason, WESTON can assemble teams of experienced individuals to successfully complete each phase of a groundwater remediation project from conceptual and detailed design through construction and operation.

When designing a groundwater remediation system, the WESTON core team will select technologies that accomplish the following:

  • Minimize our client’s liability.
  • Minimize the number of permits required from appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Minimize operations and maintenance (O&M) requirements.
  • Accomplish project goals through the use of established and innovative technologies.
  • Interface with existing site or municipal treatment works to minimize treatment system construction costs.
  • Reduce off-site migration of contaminated water.
  • Meet stipulated water quality discharge requirements.
  • Reuse groundwater in useful ways such as process makeup water or reinjection/infiltration to the water table for gradient control or biodegradation.
