Marine Transportation
Charters include agreements to provide long term marine transportation to near shore and offshore oil platforms as well as special projects. Ship Services has participated in special projects for ship-to-ship lightering operations, sonar surveys, sonar research, diving operations, light towing, range clearance, salvage operations, as well as television, commercial and movie productions. We have contracted with private companies and military contractors.
Ship Services has developed a training protocol for the safe transfer of personnel to offshore platforms. This is done via swing rope or Billy Pugh (personnel basket). Ship Services created a video which is shown to all passengers upon departure from shore. Link to video here.
Ship Services has the capabilities to carry and transfer potable water, drill water, brine water, and Diesel for the offshore oil industry.
Ship Services carries a wide array of deck cargo for the production and exploration of offshore oil. We have the capabilities to safely haul everything from tools to full drill rigs on our boats.
