Site Investigation Services

SHARE

A site investigation is a detailed study of the physical and chemical characteristics of a property. Site investigations allow clients to gain insight into potential environmental impairments that could affect property use or value. This information is more valuable than reviews of literature concerning the property’s “street-level” financial or real estate value. Site investigation data provide the information needed to evaluate the cost to correct environmental impairments or cure environmental liabilities, including pollution cleanup. By completing site investigations, potential real estate purchasers and sellers are able to ascertain the environmental quality and “as-is” value of property.

Monitoring and Modeling
BBJ Group regularly investigates surface and subsurface media (including soil, surface water, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air) for properties of all sizes located throughout the United States. BBJ Group’s experienced professionals are qualified to perform all kinds of environmental investigations. The team specializes in assessing the environmental quality of groundwater, soil, and bedrock in industrial and commercial settings. In these efforts, BBJ Group compares the results of site investigations to state and federal regulations and standards to assess whether environmental risks are present at properties. BBJ Group uses the data obtained to develop environmental risk scenarios and to predict whether remediation or abatement actions are needed to cleanup pollution or correct impairments.
