GEOREKA - Geological Modelling Envision Software
Our viewer imports a large variety of data. It can be used to dynamically visualize cross-sections and export them as (high-resolution) images. This version is free to use for research or commercial work. We only request you register your details through our 30 day trial download page. You will then receive an email with a link to the full trial version. At the end of the trial, the software automatically falls back to a Viewer. It has all the essential visualization options such as importing supported data types, adjusting size and transparency and includes the option to save settings and add comments. GEOREKA’s free Geology Viewer is the ideal tool to share your data with clients and other stakeholders. Click the link below to go to the download page.
- Drilling data
- Solids and surfaces
- Points (with attributes)
- Polylines
- GIS shape files
- Block models / grids
- (Georeferenced) Images
- Large Point Clouds
Visualization is the key ingredient to any geological model. From the start a lot of focus has been on quick and powerful visualization. Using state-of-the-art rendering techniques GEOREKA provides for high-quality visualization that rivals all other geological modelling packages.
Interpretation of data can only follow good insight of all available knowledge. Therefore we strive to support as many file types as possible. To further enhance understanding of the data Envision provides all tools to help you reach the correct conclusions.
Communicate
Communication is the 3rd pillar of the Envision package. Visualizing and understanding the data is essential, but being able to communicate your understanding to others is equally important. Envision allows for 3D comments to be attached to data. The dynamic section view and the batch export options help to share your insights to 3rd parties.
- Points
- Polylines
- GIS shapes
- Images (georeferenced or not)
- Surfaces / wireframes
- Drilling data
- Block models
- Grids
- Envision combines state-of-the-art visualization with strong interactive capabilities. By default objects can be made transparent and their size dynamically adjust. Clicking objects will provide information about them like values or labels.
- Sections are created dynamically from all visible data and can be arbitrarily oriented. They can be exported as high-resolution images, individually or as a batch.
- Obtain information about objects, like volumes, average grades, area
Modelling
Our modelling can be grouped into two groups: Data-Driven Modelling and Manual Interaction. The former will perform actions on the data to convert it into another format as part of the modelling workflow. For example points can be turned into a surface, or points can be extracted from a domain. Manual Interaction allows direct manipulation of data through selection and editing. Both are listed here:
Data-Driven Modelling- Selection of points in domain
- Create surfaces from points, like topography, faults, contacts
- Direct Triangulation (Delaunay)
- Implicit surfaces
- Create shells from block models
- Create contours from surfaces
- Project points onto surfaces like topography
- Merge data sets
- Clip surfaces
- Build geological models
- Create Block models
- Inverse Distance Weighting
- Radial Basis Functions (RBF`s)
- Ordinary Kriging
- Clip block models by bench
- Boolean operations
- Triangulate polylines
- Export to a variety of formats like DXF and OBJ
- Extract block based on cut-offs for multiple elements
- Reduce triangles of triangulated surfaces
- Smooth surfaces
- Snap surfaces to (contact) points
- Resample polylines
- Create intersection of two surfaces
- Create distance buffers
- Global anisotropy
- Arbitrarily oriented model extents
- Manual selection of points and drill intervals
- Direct manipulation of surfaces
- 3D Digitizing of polylines
- Selection of surface parts
Point Clouds
With the emergence of point clouds being generated by UAV`s, LIDAR scanners or other means, GEOREKA has added the capabilities to display and process point clouds with several hundreds of millions of points. Primarily developed as part of the research for the Horizon 2020 project UNEXMIN, this is now available to all customers as an add-on to the full modelling package.
