Through management contracts, we are contributing to the efficient provision of municipal services in the water and wastewater sectors. Public-sector clients use this option to acquire technological and management expertise and private capital in an effective manner and increase the efficiency of their operations.

Increasingly, national and local governments are turning to the private sector for help in developing and delivering water and sanitation services. Operation and Maintenance is one form of private sector participation that can be tailored to improve technical and managerial capacity.

Since March 2008 Berlinwasser Management Consult is providing consultancy services regarding the development of modern, customer-oriented and financially-secured water utility services.

Concessions comprise the construction, rehabilitation and expansion of existing plants and networks, and their operation, maintenance and repair, as well as rate collection from the population.

The public authority turns to the private sector to provide capacities needed for the construction and operation of a new plant for bulk water supply and sewage treatment on a greenfield site – under a build-operate-transfer arrangement.
