General Pest Control Course
For new or experienced pest control technicians, this one week residential course (Sunday to Friday) introduces the basic principles of public health pest control. Whilst this course is residential, if you prefer to travel, please state non residential on your booking form. You`ll cover the main pest species, identification of infestations and methods of control. On completion of this course you`ll have the theoretical knowledge required to be successful in pest control in the UK. At the end of the weeks residential course (Sunday to Friday), you will take the RSPH/BPCA Level 2 Award in Pest Management exam.Foundation Certificate in Pest Management
The BPCA`s Foundation Certificate in Pest Management is for new pest control technicians, and all pest control team members who support technicians but do not carry out pest control themselves. This online learning course provides a valuable insight into what is involved in pest management and control and what a pest control technician does as part of their role.Bed Bug Control Course
This one day course will provide detailed knowledge of Bed Bug biology and behaviour and skill in how to achieve successful control. It is designed for any company or technician that is regularly dealing with bed bug infestation, or anyone that requires a deeper understanding of bed bug infestation and the options for control. By the end of this course candidates will have a thorough understanding of how to control this pest competently and profitably. The course will be run by the BPCA and by world renowned Bed Bug specialist and BPCA Member, Clive Boase, from The Pest Management Consultancy.Bird Management Course
This one day course is designed for anyone interested in bird control, from those new to the industry to those who want to expand their knowledge and develop an expertise. This course covers essential areas such bird legislation, identification, biology, behaviour, population reduction, proofing and safety. It also includes discussions on the range of equipment and products available, as well as practical demonstrations.Food Safety (leading Level 2 Food Safety)
This qualification is designed for those who work with food and drink or in food and drink premises, whether from handling, production or processing food or drink or maintaining food and drink premises. The course will ensure that you know the importance of food safety, food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls to ensure food safety. These topics are regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to understanding and maintaining good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food. You can study this course and elect ne of three Level 2 Food Safety Qualifications - manufacturing, retail or catering. The exam is one multiple choice paper.
