WPX is a powdered activated carbon produced from reactivated granular carbons. WPX powdered reactivated carbon is ideally suited for the removal of toxic compounds, dyes, and/or refractory organic chemicals from wastewaters. The high iodine number of WPX allows for adsorption of a wide range of organic chemicals present in industrial wastewater. WPX has also proved to be effective in stabilizing soil and sludge, and is used in remediation stabilization/ solidification processes. WPX powdered reactivated carbon is not to be used for Food Grade or Potable Water applications.

FILTRASORB 820 is a granular activated carbon developed by Calgon Carbon Corporation for the removal of taste and odor compounds, disinfection by-product precursors, and other dissolved organic compounds from potable water. This activated carbon is manufactured from selected grades of bituminous coal to produce a high-activity, durable, granular product capable of withstanding the abrasion associated with repeated backwashing, air scouring, and hydraulic transport. Activation is carefully controlled to produce an equal blend of both low energy pores as measured by iodine number and high energy pores as measured by trace capacity number for effective adsorption of a broad range of high and low molecular weight organic contaminants. The product is also designed to comply with all the applicable provisions of the AWWA Standard for Granular Activated Carbon edition B604-05, the stringent extractable metals requirements of ANSI/NSF Standard 61, and Food Chemicals Codex.

This activated carbon is made from select grades of bituminous coal through a process known as reagglomeration to produce a high activity, durable, granular product capable of withstanding the abrasion associated with repeated backwashing, hydraulic transport, and reactivation for reuse.

WPH-M carbon is a virgin, powdered activated carbon (PAC) specifically designed for use in the treatment of potable water. WPH-M meets all applicable AWWA standards per specification B-600 and is certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61 for use in potable water treatment.
