Calgon Carbon Corporation products

Calgon Carbon HGR granular activated carbon is a sulfur impregnated carbon. The base carbon is made from select grades of bituminous coal and suitable binders to create the unique pore structure and superior hardness necessary for the intended service. Activation is controlled to impart a pore structure that will both accept substantial quantities of impregnant and maintain access for the gas being treated to the complex pore structure. After activation, the sulfur is distributed in a thin layer over the extensive internal surface area of the carbon. This provides it with the unique properties required for the removal of elemental and organic mercury from natural gas, air, and by-product hydrogen streams.

MINOTAUR OC is a patented high capacity pelletized activated carbon that has been developed specifically for odor removal from sewage treatment operations. This product provides very high adsorption capacity for H2S and adsorbs volatile organic compounds (VOCs) far more effectively than other high H2S capacity media. MINOTAUR OC is a single cycle product that is disposed after its virgin capacity is spent. MINOTAUR OC is capable of being safely disposed of in municipal landfills or via incineration.

FLUEPAC-A is a powdered reactivated carbon produced from bituminous coal specifically for use in flue gas treatment applications. FLUEPAC-A has a high effective surface area and a large pore volume making it very effective in removing many flue gas contaminants.

FLUEPAC-B is a powdered reactivated carbon produced from bituminous coal specifically for use in flue gas treatment applications. Its surface area and pore volume make it very effective in removing many flue gas contaminants.

FLUEPAC-C is a powdered reactivated carbon produced from bituminous coal specifically for use in flue gas treatment applications. Its surface area and pore volume make it very effective in removing many flue gas contaminants.

FLUEPAC-MC PLUS is a powdered activated carbon produced from bituminous coal impregnated with a proprietary ingredient to enhance mercury capture in flue gas treatment applications.

FLUEPAC-ST is a powdered activated carbon produced from bituminous coal specially formulated to enhance mercury capture in flue gas treatment applications with elevated levels of sulfur trioxide (SO₃).
