Continental Disc Corporation`s impervious graphite rupture discs are simple, reliable overpressure relief devices designed to protect processing systems, truck tanks, storage tanks, and closed processing vessels from overpressure conditions. The impregnated graphite construction makes these rupture discs ideal in most corrosive environments.

The Composite Rupture Disc (Bursting Disc) for a UNISERT Holder has a flat seat configuration and consists of two or more metallic or non-metallic components. The components typically consist of a metallic top section and metallic or non-metallic seal, with an optional vacuum support, protective rings, gaskets or outlet liner. The Composite Rupture Disc (Bursting Disc) top section is manufactured with a patented seven hole pattern, and with six pre-cut sections providing a non-fragmenting design when used with a non-metallic or fluoropolymer seal.

The ENVIRO-SEAL Rupture Disc is designed to provide economical protection for low pressure atmospheric storage vessels and to isolate the downstream side of pressure relief valves and other equipment from corrosive environments.

The LOTRX Rupture Disc represents a breakthrough in rupture disc design. The LOTRX Rupture Disc provides all the benfits of Continental`s scored, reverse acting discs, with additional features that make it ideal for extremely low pressure applications. The LOTRX comes enhanced with features such as the Failure Initiating Indent, which lowers the pressure at which reversal occurs, and the Notched Outlet Ring, that facilitates opening of the rupture disc along the precision semicircular score at extremely low reversal pressures.

The ULTRX Rupture Disc (Bursting Disc) is a scored, reverse acting rupture disc (bursting disc). It is a differential pressure relief device that provides an instantaneous full-open, non-reclosing design for protecting equipment, vessels and systems from an overpressure condition. The ULTRX Rupture Disc (Bursting Disc) has Continental Disc`s  precision controlled indentation to initiate reversal when the specified burst pressure is achieved, and a semicircular score to provide a clean, consistent opening pattern.

Continental Disc`s vent panels are designed to provide instantaneous overpressure protection for pressurized equipment like dust collectors, driers, silos, spreaders, elevators, air scrubbers, sieves, and other various types of dry, bulk handling and storage equipment. The vent panels are designed to allow a full and immediate opening to minimize structural or mechanical damage that maybe caused by expanded gases, which can result from the deflagration or dust, gases, or mists in equipment, rooms, buildings, or other enclosures.

The patented CAL-VAC Rupture Disc is a double acting rupture disc which will relieve an ultra low (inches of water column) vacuum pressure or a position pressure condition. The CAL-VAC Rupture Disc has a flat seat design to reduce susceptibility to product buildup and promote easier cleaning to meet FDA requirements.

For applications that require lower pressures with reduced flow resistance, Continental Disc offeres the SANITRX LP Rupture Disc. This new rupture disc was designed specifically to provide the same features as the original SANITRX Rupture Disc, but with the added benefit of lower available burst pressures. Plus, through the benefit of using our on-site ASME Accepted Flow Test Laboratory, the SANITRX LP Rupture Disc has been designed to have one of the lowest KR flow resistance factors available in a rupture disc of any design - from any manufacturer.

The SANITRX HPX rupture disc is a scored reverse acting rupture disc designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and biotech industries. This differential pressure relief device features an instantaneous full-open relief area for protecting equipment, vessels, systems and people from an overpressure condition. This high precision reverse acting rupture disc offers proven performance in excess of 250,000 cycles at a 95% operating ratio.
