Breeam And Ceequal

Dawnus have delivered numerous projects to meet BREEAM Standards and have always achieved the rating required by our Client at preconstruction stage. We have recently achieved our our first CEEQUAL project; Yazor Brook Flood Alleviation Scheme achieving Very Good rating, and aim to register several more projects under CEEQUAL in the coming months.

Waste Management

Dawnus are committed to minimising wastage throughout all our operations be it time, energy consumption, duplication of effort, procured product, packaging or site won materials. We are proud signatories to WRAP’s Halving Waste to Landfill Commitment and 2010 Winners of the Constructing Excellence Wales Waste Minimisation Award.

Culture and Local Recruitment

Dawnus prides itself on its culture of recruiting and developing its employees, and we always aim to recruit from the local area on our projects. Dawnus operates a regional structure that allows us to provide employees with work as close as possible to where they live. Projects and employees are assigned to a regional division of the company, and employees will generally only work on projects in their region, and will not usually be brought in from outside, except in some cases where there are special operational requirements. We believe that this approach brings many benefits to both the company and our employees, including reduced cost and travel to work, improving the work/life balance of employees, and reducing our impact on the environment.
